Many products are reputed to be environmentally friendly. But this is an opportunity for people to invest in a socially responsible project that is genuinely green - and good for the planet, which also returns healthy profits.

Global Cooling is an essential and time sensitive process, urgently necessary for the restoration of balance to our environment - its reliance upon trees cannot be understated. Forests can offset climate change because trees absorb carbon dioxide, one of the main greenhouse gases. But, all round the world, forests are being cut back through indiscriminate logging, and new trees are desperately needed to replace them.

Working with plantation partners, we are developing new plantations in tropical countries such as Sri Lanka. When these trees are fully grown they will be cut down and sold. But - most importantly - they will then be replaced by new ones on the same land, so creating sustainable forests for generations to come.

Our ethical forestry plantation partner is a commercial company which develops the new plantations. Private buyers can be involved by buying plots of forest, which will be leased to them for the time it takes the trees to mature. When the trees are harvested, our clients take a profit. One of the main types of product, agarwood, from the tropical aquilaria tree, takes just four to six years to grow. Other woods like teak develop over eighteen year cycles.
